Will Imperial bump up to D3 this year?

Shane Bergoch has been an avid member of the Ohio Paintball Scene since the early 2000′s. He’s played on teams like Pinnacle Woods, Tippmann Effect, and now he’s a core member of the successful PSP team Cleveland Imperial.
From the Heart and Mind of Shane Bergoch:
Ever since paintball exploded from 2004-2007, right before the economy got hit hard, sponsorship in paintball was out of control. It almost seemed that every team had a free ride, or somebody to pay for them. Teams and players that didn’t even deserve any sort of sponsorship, Read more

As college paintball continues to grow across the United States, universities from all across the country are joining in. In the past The University of Akron and paintball were two words that would not normally be seen in the same sentence, but determination and hard work has changed that. With their first full season ahead, The Paintball Club at The University of Akron is looking to make some major Read more
Great to see another team from Ohio make it to Sunday at the PSP World Cup. Cincinnati Paintball grabbed 5th place in D4 x-ball losing a close match to PG Rise 1-3. Bryan Baker, Aaron Bennington, Josh Ehling, David Goodwin, Matt Greene, Anthony Hicks, Jon Howard, and Eric LeBlanc of Xscape all played great and just missed the podium. Would have been great to see Cincinnati Paintball VS Imperial in the finals!
Last year’s United States Paintball Association (USPA) winners, The Erie Landsharks, are looking to add to their roster for next season. USPA is the only “true” X-ball league in America, and the Erie Landsharks know how to win it. The Landsharks are looking for four players from the Ohio area. Read more
Captain Nate Lelle, Shane Bergoch, Dany Paul, John Bartolone, Brandon Ribblett, Cody Shook, Chad Engel, Steve Vanderwist, and Joe Heppner all lived up to their reputations as a prominent D4 X-ball team at the PSP World Cup this past weekend.
After breezing through the prelims.. and ochos.. quarters.. Imperial finally met their match in D4 X-ball, Revo2. In a very close match, Revo2 never dominated Imperial. They played well, however, went up on points and never let Imperial come back. Revo2 knocked out Imperial 2-0 in the Semis.
Revo2 would go on to win the event, and Imperial still hit the podium with a 3rd place finish. Great job boys, way to represent Ohio Paintball. The only questions is, will Imperial play D3 next year? I hope so..
