With so much drama going on this off-season, we caught up with Ohio Legend Drew Hire to see what he’s been up to, where he’s headed, and where he got his roots.

Where did you grow up playing? What teams? What players?
-I grew up playing at Great Lakes Paintball in Bellevue, OH and at Toledo Indoor Paintball: which is where Tippmann Effect was located out of. That’s how I got my break. My buddy Cody Szmik and I played all the local tournaments in the area and that’s how we got noticed by Tippmann which was (fortunately) a full ride team. From there it was smooth sailing.

Growing up I remember seeing “That’s Drew Hire” stickers on random hoppers. Where’d that come from? Read more

Clevelanders GET EXCITED! Elite Action Sports is coming soon, and they mean business. The ability to invest six-figure numbers into an indoor field isn’t a luxury that most paintball industry members have, but there are exceptions. Josh Tachdjian and his partner Aaron Ferraro intend to change the Ohio paintball scene as we know it.

“Expect a 40,000+ square foot facility complete with two X-ball fields, cleanliness to the extreme, and above-par amenities in the VERY near future” Tachdjian reveals.

MUCH more to come as deals are made, so stay tuned to be a part of the grand opening of Elite Action Sports’ new facility!

Shane Bergoch has been an avid member of the Ohio Paintball Scene since the early 2000′s. He’s played on teams like Pinnacle Woods, Tippmann Effect, and now he’s a core member of the successful PSP team Cleveland Imperial.

From the Heart and Mind of Shane Bergoch:

Ever since paintball exploded from 2004-2007, right before the economy got hit hard, sponsorship in paintball was out of control. It almost seemed that every team had a free ride, or somebody to pay for them. Teams and players that didn’t even deserve any sort of sponsorship, Read more

Best Paintball Supply (Lyndhurst, OH) – Up for Sale

Posted on by Dave Posted in 1, Fields, header, Industry, Stores | Leave a comment

Best Paintball Supply, owned by Seth Dragomer a long-time member of the Ohio Paintball scene, has recently been listed as “for sale”.  The price is set at $20,000, which includes an $18,000 inventory, website, logos, store displays, and everything else.  The official “Going out of Business Sale” will begin this November.

Best Paintball Supply

Best PB has been serving the Mayfield Heights/Lyndhurst area since 2004, supplying mostly entry level – amateur paintball equipment as well as skateboarding gear.  It’s really tough for a Mom & Pop store to stay open these days, both with our troubled economy and the abundance of online shopping locations that sell products at insanely low prices.  Seth decided to sell his paintball business to pursue a career in Real Estate, which he has been dabbling in on the side for years.

Best Paintball was located at 5414 Mayfield Road in Lyndhurst, OH.  To contact Seth: 440.461.5220 or E-mail: Sales@bestpaintballsupply.com
